HKTB kicks off new round of “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours”
Starting 1 June, the programme will be opened again for Hong Kongers looking to visit local attractions.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will be opening a new round of registration for the “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours” programme, starting 1 June.
The new round covers about 190 itineraries, designed by local tour operators.
Of this, 130 itineraries will be opened for the first batch. This includes tours at the Scenic Harbour, Lively Culture, Gastro-Fantasies, Endless Entertainment, Neighbourhoods and Family Fun.
The tours will also allow Hong Kongers to participate in various activities such as workshops related to gourmet food and handicrafts, and fishing and farming amongst others.
Those looking to avail the “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours” programme may register with machine-printed receipts, worth at least $800 from local retail and dining outlets.
Registered participants will be asked to provide a $100 deposit per person, which will be returned on the day of the tour.
The remaining 60 itineraries for this round will be opened at around mid-June.
The second round of the programme was launched in May, during which the HKTB raised the quote to 20,000. This quota was retained in the June round.
