Huawei inaugurates enterprise business in Hong Kong
The company also released its new end-to-end Telepresence 2.0 in Hong Kong as a key portion of its unified communication and collaboration solution.
Huawei, a leading telecom solutions provider, on Wednesday announced the official launch of its enterprise business in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Huawei Enterprise will focus on providing end-to-end ICT solutions to key vertical sectors and corporate users in the region.
Huawei Enterprise Business Group is one of the company’s four strategic business groups. Its strength and expertise is in delivering solutions for data centers, campus networks, video conferencing, unified communications, IP contact centers, optical transmission, and wireless networks across various industries, including government, transportation, power, finance, and more. The business group has set up departmental organizations in over 100 countries and regions, aiming to become the first choice solutions provider in building the ICT infrastructure for the enterprise market.
Huawei is well established in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan through its telecoms operations, and already has several enterprise and vertical customers. The company has also established a channel sales network in the region to deliver best-in-class implementation, maintenance and consultancy services to enterprises, and plans to announce a partner recruitment program in the 3rd quarter of 2011. In partnership with channel sales partners, system integrators and IT professionals in the region, the company will be focusing on providing products and solutions to organizations across different verticals, particularly in banking and financial, manufacturing, transportation, utilities and government sectors.

On Wednesday, Huawei also unveiled its new end-to-end Telepresence 2.0 in Hong Kong as a key portion of its unified communication and collaboration solution to meet diverse telepresence and video-conferencing needs of enterprises and verticals.
As one of the leading video communication solution providers, Huawei’s Telepresence systems have been serving 32 countries’ government and more than 100 CXOs from world’s top 13 telecoms operators. As at February 2011, the company has deployed more than 500 telepresence systems worldwide, and is well positioned to install its targeted 1,000+ telepresence systems globally in 2011.
The Huawei Telepresence 2.0 is the company’s 5th generation video communication system since 1993, which delivers real-life and high quality video conferencing experience to enterprises. Its key features are:

- 3 Crystal audio with AAC-LD 48KHz spatial sound and 6 MIC for sound orientation

It also supports versatile connectivity with any devices, including videophone, Soft Clients for PC or Mac, smartphones and tablets, according to a Huawei report.
